2019 Champions for Children Walk - Run - Fly

Kapow! Bam! Zap! Get ready for the most exciting event of the year! On Saturday, June 8th, Superheroes of all shapes, sizes, and strengths will be descending upon Lowell Park in Dixon for the 11th Annual Champions for Children Walk! This is a battle to support Shining Star Children’s Advocacy Center and the race to the finish line will be one of epic proportions.

Each year the Champions for Children Walk brings together the community of heroes, both children and adults alike, who are making sure our children’s voices are being hear and believed!

Shining Star CAC works with law enforcement, child protection workers, prosecutors, and other professionals to provide a safe place where child victims in Lee and Ogle Counties can talk about their abuse. It takes great courage for a child to tell about the abuse that they have suffered, and it takes brave supporters like you to help set them up on their path to healing. It is time for us to step up and be their superheroes!

Please join us in this years efforts of helping abused children by participating in this fantastic event!
